Morning Programs:

9am to 10:30am: Secrets to Longevity and Happy Aging (Dr. Aihan Kuhn)
Everyone will go through the aging process eventually. Some people feel dreadful about aging, while others are enjoying the journey of “Happy Aging”. To achieve happy aging and live longer, one must know the ancient wisdom of how to age in a positive way. Dr. Kuhn will tell you the secrets of how to live longer, and how to enjoy life during the aging process. She will also provide you with some simple tools for home practice and guideline for senior healthy diet. You will learn a lot of other useful information about healthy and happy aging.

10:45am to 11:45am: Keep Your Brain Alive: Ten Principles of Brain Fitness

Recent advances in neuroscience have shed new light on brain plasticity throughout the lifespan and have refuted old ideas of a hard wired brain. Modern technology and time honored wisdom both support the importance of the proper care and feeding of the brain. This presentation will cover the importance of mental exercise, physical exercise, nutrition, stress management, and meditative practices as well as some lesser known strategies. Dr. Rozelle will share what he has learned in twenty-five years of neurofeedback practice and research on the full spectrum of mental fitness from recovery from injury to enhancing peak performance.

11:45am to 12 Noon: Simple Qi Gong for Daily Nourishment (Dr. Aihan Kuhn)
Dr. Kuhn will show you easy how to do Qi Gong exercise. Practicing daily can change your life.

1pm to 2pm: Cut Through Your Fear (Dr. Barry Tuchfeld, Sensei of Aikido Sarasota)
Much personal suffering and inner demons are related to fear! As we get older or if we have experienced life trauma, fear can limit our self-expression and creativity. Aikido, a non-competitive martial art and unique martial art is often called the art of effortless power. It does not rely on force. In this workshop you will learn and experience selected Aikido practices, allowing you to develop skills to respond to conflict and challenges (instead of reacting from fear). You will learn 3 specific Aikido practices that work neurologically, effectively rewiring your “circuits” and being able to deal with conflicts and life challenges more effectively.

2:15pm to 3pm: Integrated Medicine? (Dr. Fred Harvey)
Dr. Fred Harvey believes that optimal wellness is much more than the absence of disease. So, what is Functional Medicine? Functional Medicine is a patient-centered medical healing model that empowers patients and practitioners to achieve the highest expression of health by working in collaboration to address the underlying causes of disease. Instead of naming, blaming and taming health problems as isolated diseases, it treats individuals who may have bodily symptoms, imbalances and dysfunctions. Dr. Harvey’s presentation will teach you on how to take charge of your own health and wellness.

3:15pm to 4pm: Cancer Healing & Prevention the Natural Way (Dr. Aihan Kuhn)
There are many ways to treat cancer using conventional medicine. There are other ways to help to heal cancer, too. This special program will introduce you to the most efficient way to integrate natural methods to accelerate your healing, and to prevent cancer relapse. You will learn how to keep immune system balanced, eating right diet to assist healing, and enjoy cancer free life style. This program is for everyone. It is an informative and eye opening experience. Previous OB/GYN, Dr. Kuhn will especially address woman’s cancer prevention.

Dr. George Rozelle, is the owner and director of MindSpa Integrative Wellness Center in Sarasota. He has attained Board Certification, Diplomate status in Neurotherapy and Quantitative EEG. Dr. Rozelle is a BCIA certified Senior Fellow in EEG Biofeedback and he serves on the Board of Directors of the Biofeedback Society of Florida.

Dr. Barry Tuchfeld, Sensei at Traditional Aikido of Sarasota

Barry Tuchfeld, Ph.D. is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and Head intructor at Traditional Aikido of Sarasota (www.aikidosarasota.com ). In addition to his regular practice and teaching, he has used this specialized training with persons with Cancer and their care-givers.
